Signalment: 7 year old, Male, Doberman
Presenting Complaint: A 7 year old male Doberman presented for a routine recheck appointment. He was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure (CHF) due to dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).
Presenting History

On physical exam, he had weak femoral pulses, good mucus membrane colour, CRT <2 seconds. His rhythm was irregular and consistent with atrial fibrillation, and an S3 gallop was heard on auscultation. His owners described his attitude as “mopy”.

The atrial fibrillation resolved after medication (Pimobendan 10mg BID, Diltiazem 30mg TID, Benazepril 20 mg BID, Furosemide 80 mg BID).
