Signalment: 4 year old, Male castrated, German Shepherd
Presenting Complaint: Four year old German Shepherd presented for a recheck of his heart.
Presenting History

This dog had a Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), which was corrected by surgical ligation two years ago. He was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation one year ago.

On physical exam, his heart rate was 130-150 bpm with an irregular rhythm. Lung sounds were normal.

Medication: Diltiazem 30 mg BID, Enalapril 20 mg BID.
