Signalment: 13 year old, Male, Border Collie Cross


Presenting Complaint: 

A thirteen year old male border collie cross presented with a concern of a heart murmur.


Presenting History

His murmur has been present for the past 7 or 8 years. He had an episode of coughing and hacking throughout the night several weeks previously.

On physical exam, he had a grade 4-5/6 left apex pansystolic murmur, and a grade 4/6 right mid heart pansystolic murmur. Mucous membranes and CRT were normal.
